The work efficiency improvement of magnetic separator can bring greater economic benefit to enterprise definitely, so how to improve its work efficiency?
The ore separation plate should be adjustable. The ore separation plate should be different according to the different nature and separation index. It should be determined by experiment. The feeding amount and material layer thickness are related with the biggest granularity of feeding. The thinner material layer is, the better separation effect will be, while, if the material layer is 2 times of the biggest feeding granularity, the separation effect will be bad. If the trough belt conveyor is adopted to transmit ores, we should spread the materials out before entering into the magnetic pulley. If not, the materials will be stuck on belt and waste resources, and the ores will interfere with each other and cause bad separation effect.
The ore recycling rate will be higher if the magnetic field intensity is higher and the discharged ores have higher grade. In the recent years, raw materials are becoming more and more precious, so many separation enterprises adopt high intensity magnetic pulley to lower the waste ores' grade. The rotating speed of magnetic pulley determines the belt speed. If its speed is higher, the ores will get a bigger centrifugal force and the discharged waste ores will be increased. While, if the speed is too low, the mass ejection angle of ores will be small, and so the waste ores will be reduced.
The feeding granularity is determined by the magnetic field nature of the magnetic pulley. If the magnetic pulley has a larger specification and the magnetic field effect is deep, the feeding granularity can be bigger a little. The separation effect is not good if the materials' moisture content is higher than 3%.
